Our game will not place its focus on graphical fidelity. However, we will have a lot of shooting in our game and I assume that the player would like to be able to know who is firing and when. One way to communicate this is, obviously, to have a particle effect that makes the muzzle of the gun flash upon firing. Another way would be to play sounds of gunfire to match the visuals (this will be done in #15).

The muzzle flash does not need to be procedural or overly fancy, but it would be nice to be able to resize it and play it back at different speeds.
